An Essential Role to Help Patients Organize Care
Patient Services Coordinators handle the administrative side of our practices. As a Patient Services Coordinator, you’ll be every patient’s first point of contact to getting care. You’ll answer phone calls, help patients schedule appointments, check in patients, take patient payments, and follow-up with patients about missing documents and appointments.

A Day in the Life of a Patient Services Coordinator
You start your day preparing patient charts. This includes making sure that all the correct information is listed, so that the patient chart is clean and accurate.
Later, you check in patients at the front desk. You make sure that all the necessary paperwork is filled out and that the patient's insurance is in the system.
You spend some time calling patients about their missed appointments or late cancelations to get them rescheduled.
You answer phone calls and help patients with their issues. This includes scheduling new appointments, answering questions, and triaging patient requests.
End of Day
You help patients check-out after their appointment. You also help patients schedule their follow-up visit so that they get the care they need.
